Grave Burials

Northport Rural Cemetery has a long and rich history as a non-sectarian burial ground. In the over 200 years of its existence, the cemetery has provided a beautiful and peaceful eternal resting place for over 6,200 burials. We take great pride in honoring this tradition of excellence by maintaining and preserving our majestic grounds to the highest standards.

Northport Rural Cemetery Mausoleum

In an effort to provide a range of interment options for our community, we constructed the first and only public mausoleum in the town of Huntington. Completed in the spring of 2013, this noble structure boasts a timeless exterior made from Dakota Mahogany and Rockville Gray granite. The façade of the mausoleum features a charming mural of the Northport Village dock gazebo, capturing the splendor and tranquility of our beloved community.

Cremation Options

Cremation has become an increasingly popular choice over the last quarter century. As such, Northport Rural Cemetery is pleased to offer a variety of options for cremated remains. These options include burial in a standard grave and entombment in our new public mausoleum or in a private columbarium.
